Dr. Zhiyong Liu is a full professor of hydrology at the Center for Water Resources and Environment, Sun Yat-sen University, China. He got his Ph.D. in Hydrology and Climatology from Heidelberg University (Germany) in 2016. Before working at SYSU in 2017, Dr. Liu did postdoctoral research at the National Environmental Satellite, Data, and Information Service (NESDIS), NOAA in College Park, Maryland. His research now focuses on extreme climate dynamics associated with hydrological and underlying responses (say, vegetation, urban, etc).  Serving as the associate editors for both Journal of Hydrology and Journal of Hydrology: Regional Studies.
